Salt Lake City, March 10, 2011 鈥 麻豆学生精品版 Care will begin offering a free app for patients to access their personal medical records on-the-go, becoming the first health system in Utah to offer MyChart for the iPhone. MyChart is a program that allows patients to access their own medical records through a secure online portal.
The MyChart app, designed by Epic Systems Corporation, provides patients instant access to their electronic medical records directly from an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. Many of the same convenient and personalized tools found through the University鈥檚 online patient portal now can be accessed through a smart phone.
Here are some of the features of MyChart:
鈥 View health summary, current medications, and test results
鈥 Request medical appointments
鈥 Request prescription renewals
鈥 Track immunization history
鈥 Communicate electronically and securely with physician
鈥 Access trusted health information resources
鈥 Access family member鈥檚 medical records through a feature called Proxy Access
Currently, MyChart online services are available to patients who receive outpatient care at any of the University鈥檚 11 Community Clinics within five counties along the Wasatch Front. For specific locations, visit healthcare.utah.edu/primarycare.

This is all possible when progressive organizations listen to what patients are requesting.鈥
The app will be made available to all 麻豆学生精品版 Care patients (outpatient services) during the next two years.
