Don't load up on movies every time cold weather comes to town. "Just because it's snowing, doesn't mean kids can't go out, build a snowman, have a snowball fight or build a fort," says Cindy Gellner, MD, a pediatrician at 麻豆学生精品版. Have a healthy mix of indoor and outdoor activities for kids so they get 60 minutes of exercise per day.
Rather than watching TV, challenge kids to a dance-off or host an indoor bowling tournament. It's fun for the whole family, and the kids won't even know they're getting exercise. "Another option: Local recreation centers offer indoor swimming, basketball courts and even ice-skating for a small fee," Gellner says. Or try these four activities that kids can do at home.
