Laurie works as an outpatient social worker at Huntsman Cancer Institute’s clinic at the South Jordan Health Center in Daybreak. Laurie has over thirteen years experience working in the medical field, specifically in home health and community clinics. Laurie utilizes a solution-focused approach, along with cognitive behavioral therapy to address needs of survivors and caregivers.
She earned her master’s degree in social work from Eastern Washington University and began her journey in medical social work while completing an internship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Laurie enjoys volunteering in the community and values continued education to gain further perspectives on wellness, resiliency, and self-care.
Outside of work, Laurie enjoys spending time skiing, hiking, camping, and cycling with her family.
